Introduction
The Organizing Committee of the Al Dhafra Hospitals Fifth Health Forum, in cooperation with educational institutions and strategic partners, is pleased to announce the for Best Innovation in the usage of AI in Healthcare.
The competition aims to:
1.Stimulate students’ creative thinking and develop new ideas and practices in healthcare.
2.Promote the use of AI in healthcare through innovative solutions and improved outcomes.
3.Promote cooperation between students as a teamwork.
4.Support educational institutions in developing students’ skills through participation in such competitions.
Why did we choose AI?
Data analysis: AI plays a key role in analysing a large amount of health data, which contributes to providing accurate results that help in decision-making.
Accurate diagnosis: AI helps provide an accurate diagnosis, facilitating early detection of diseases and thus increasing the chances of recovery.
Patient Healthcare: Helps in the use of applications and technology in patient processes and healthcare.
Developing health care services: Using AI in developing solutions to the challenges facing caregivers to improve services provided to patients, efficiency, productivity etc.
Competition Rules and Criteria
•The submitted project not presented in one of the previous Al Dhafra Health Hospitals forums.
•The participant undertakes that the submitted idea not copied or submitted by any other party, and if this proven, the participation will be cancelled, and if this is found after the announcement of the results, the prize will be withdrawn.
•It allows a group of students to participate in one project.
•It allows participating in more than one project.
•It allows the educational institution to supervise the submitted projects, if the submission for the competition is through the educational institution in coordination with the competition committee.
•Any project that does not comply with the main objective of the competition, which is the use of AI in the field of healthcare, will be rejected.
•The Organizer reserves the rights to use the winning projects while preserving the copyright of the participant.
Target Groups:
The Award Committee is keen to diversify the age groups participating in the competition and divide the award categories to provide equal opportunities for all.
1.University students.
2.Institute students.
3.School Students Category:
•School students from the ninth to the twelfth.
•School students from eight and below.
Registration and submission of projects:
Will be through coordination between the competition committee and the educational institution according to the approved schedule.
•Filling out the participation form is essential in accepting or rejecting participation.
•The applicant will inform of the status of the application, and the participant has the right to object through the educational institution and the competition participation form.
•In the event of winning the award, the participant undertakes to present the project at the Fifth Al Dhafra Health Hospitals Forum.
•Coordination will made between the competition committee and educational institutions to organize meetings / visits to hospitals under the supervision of the educational institution to view the services and explore development opportunities that students can work on and develop.
Evaluation Criteria:
The Evaluation Committee will approve the criteria, with a focus on the following:
Innovation: To be a new and creative idea that contributes to improving health care.
Effectiveness: By measuring how successful the idea is in achieving the desired goals in healthcare.
Applicability: By measuring their practical applicability in healthcare.
The impact of innovation on the quality of health care: by measuring the potential impact of applying this innovation on the health care service and on society in general.
Evaluation Committee:
•The evaluation committee will include specialists in the field of Artificial intelligence ,Biomedical engineering and healthcare.
•Educational institutions will be invited to nominate participants in the assessment.
•The panel will include experts in the field of artificial intelligence Biomedical engineering and experts in the field of healthcare.
•The evaluation committee undertakes to be objective when evaluating the submitted projects and making recommendations to the owners of the projects to improve the innovations.
Prizes:
•Prizes will offer to the winners, and coordination will made with strategic partners to measure the extent to which specialized training courses or scholarships to students.
•The total prize allocated to the competition is AED 100,000, will distribute to the categories after its approval.
•The committee may withhold one of the awards based on a recommendation from the evaluation committee if the committee deems that any project is not eligible to win.
