Dr. Hussein is a highly qualified medical professional with a wealth of experience and expertise in emergency medicine. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Human Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine in Damascus, Syria in 1997. Following that, he specialized in emergency medicine and became a licensed emergency Specialist by the Ministry of Health in Syria in 2002, on 2014 licensed as consultant of emergency medicine by the DOH of Abu-Dhabi on 2014.

Dr. Hussein’s journey in emergency medicine began with four years as an emergency medicine resident at Daraa Central Hospital in Syria. He successfully graduated as an Emergency Medicine Specialist in November 2002. He continued to serve as an emergency specialist at Daraa Central Hospital until August 2004. Dr. Hussein then expanded his horizons by working as an emergency specialist at Al Qatif Central Hospital in Saudi Arabia from September 2004 to November 2006. Subsequently, he joined Al Mafraq Hospital as an emergency specialist, where he worked from November 2006 until September 2015.

From September 2015 to August 2018, Dr. Hussein served as an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Al Ain Hospital. He then took on the role of Head of the Emergency Medicine Department at Mediclinic Alnoor Hospital in Abu Dhabi from August 2018 to June 2021. Since July 2021, Dr. Hussein has been working at MZH, further expanding his expertise and contributions to the field of emergency medicine.

Dr. Hussein’s special interests lie in the resuscitation area of emergency medicine. He excels in managing critical cases, performing various procedures, organizing workflow, and assuming the role of the doctor in charge during his shifts. He possesses advanced skills in airway management, including rapid sequence intubation, crushed airway intubation, and non-invasive positive pressure airway support. His expertise also extends to cardiac emergencies, such as acute coronary syndrome (ACS), life-threatening arrhythmias, and cardiac tamponade. In addition, Dr. Hussein has extensive experience in trauma cases, including intubation, chest tube insertion, closed reduction of joint dislocations, and management of displaced fractures. He is well-versed in all levels of procedural sedation, ranging from minimal to moderate and deep sedation.
