Dr.Taif Sabah Nafa Al Sarraj

Dr. Taif S. Al Sarraj is an executive healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Her expertise includes healthcare leadership, operation and support services management, quality and patient safety, innovation and performance excellence, disaster preparedness and management, clinical research and academic education, and professional speaker in national and international scientific conferences. She is a fellow candidate of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Al Sarraj is the Chief Clinical Support Services Officer in the Al Ain Region leading the allied health professionals and the clinical support services team in major hospitals such as Tawam, Al Ain, Al Wagan, and the newly activated Sh. Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City. Over the past decade, she made significant contributions in advocating and promoting the importance role of allied health professionals in the healthcare sector, developing their scope of services and enhancing their activities and productivities, supporting their clinical and technical needs for providing quality patient care. Furthermore, organizing conferences, workshops, and upskilling  training programs to ensure allied health continues education and career development. Dr. Al Sarraj supported the Emiratization strategy of allied health professionals in the healthcare sector and through recruitment, mentorship and succession plans.

During her career journey, Dr. Al Sarraj extended her expertise to government organization and to SEHA corporate as part of her leadership capacity. She also participated in SEHA leadership rotation as part of her leadership capacity where she served as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi during 2016-2017. Dr. Al Sarraj participated in the COVID-19 pandemic’s disaster management for Al Ain region hospitals, in addition to her contribution in the activation of Mohammad Bin Zayed (MBZ) field hospitals in the Northern Emirates.

Dr. Al Sarraj hold a Ph.D. degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Connecticut, a M.Sc. degree from the University of Arizona, and B.Sc. degree from the UAE University. She worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UAE University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is currently a member of the UAE University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Advisory Board.

Dr. Al Sarraj is a recipient of numerous awards, such as The Abu Dhabi Medical Distinguish Award 2011, The Emirates Women Award 2012, The SEHA Nursing & Allied Health Leadership Award 2012, The UAE Rare Diseases Society Excellence Award 2017, and The Shaikh Rashid Award for Academic Superiority 1997 & 2011, The Distinguished Alumni Award University of Connecticut 2022.  Dr. Al Sarraj is an ambassador of Abu-Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC) and has contributed significantly to multiple public health and community awareness programs, promoting wellness and well-being, and the founder of the ‘Workplace Wellbeing Program’ in Al Ain Region.
